wedding bands with a pear?

I''m considering getting a 1.7-2.0 carat pear and wearing it as a solitaire. I would like to wear a diamond band on both sides of the solitaire. Is that possible? I''ve only seen pear rings w/o wedding bands.

I wish I could see a picture to see what it would look like. I''m wondering if a band would fit underneath the pointed side...

thoughts? pictures? recommendations??

You could certainly get a band to fit under the pointed side if it were set high enough.

i think it would look stunning to have two super thin micropave bands flush against the band

A friend of mine has a 1.7ct pear solitare with a halo (Henry Winston style) set with a very thin micropave band (maybe 1.5mm). She has a matching band that fits flush against the e-ring on both sides. So yes, it can work. This particular ring set was custom made though.
