Hello everyone! We are looking at wedding bands to go with my e-ring. Also the designer put my ring on her site! V cool (called the "Julie" ring)

I want a platinum, diamond eternity band to go with the ring. I am not obsessed with having the stones be exactly the same micro pave work, but do you guys think the width of the band needs to be the same (my band is 1.5mm i think)? All rings i am finding seem to be 2mm and up ...

I am going to the diamond district Saturday - any other vendors i should hit up for a diamond eternity band?

Thanks for your suggestions as always!

I wouldn''t get a shared prong ring if you are planning to wear it next to your beautiful engagement ring. The ridges on the side of the setting act like little saws and they with chew up
your ring. I would get one like miss Whitbys or a ring with smooth sides in the very least. I have a shared prong and it has done serious damage to my e-ring in about 6 months time.

P.S. Dreamer suggested Facets, and they make beautiful rings, mine was purchased from them.

Thanks for the advice / suggestions! I wasn''t even thinking about how the setting of the band would / would not interact with my e-ring! I will definitly take that into consideration.

Luv2sparkle - is the Facets ring suggested by Dreamer acceptable (ie not a shared prong)?

Thanks!

To get around the little problem, you can have a plain band and stack them together with your diamond w-band. I didn''t think of this happening when I ordered my shared prong w-band, but that''s how I intend to alleviate the problem.

the facets band is a shared prong.

Do you have a tiffany''s near by? I would suggest going there and trying on the metro band, the legacy and the novo. they are all pave rings of different widths and slightly different styles and you can see which look you prefer with your e-ring. they also have shared prong bands so you can always try one on and see how you like the look.

Cornish Rex, it looks like Dreamers would work. I am sorry I didn''t look at her link. The edge of the stone looks like it sticks out a tiny bit beyond the metal and the stones may chew each
other a bit. It is hard to tell from the photo. I think some of the problem with my ring is the ridges on the side of the band. I too, have a platinum band that I got from Blue Nile, and it does
do the trick, but I don''t really like the look as much.

The band dreamer linked is pretty narrow so it may work. You could always check it with a loupe and see if the stones will rub. I would just be careful. Your ring is really beautiful and
it would be a shame to damage it. My solitaire is a temp setting but I will be much more careful when I get my permanent setting. Good luck!

I made an appointment with Leah at Facets tomorrow!thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

MrSalvo I like the Metro band from Tiffanys! I will check there too!

CornishRex...
would you mind sharing with me the jeweler in brooklyn who did the setting?
i am still figuring my ring out - and I am in brooklyn and I like to give my business local... but i know of no one in Brooklyn..

Sparklyforever,

My designer was Kristin Hanson you can google her since they don''t allow outside links here, she also runs a jewelry design school (she is off Vanderbilt and St. Marks). Click on collection, then wedding. She is awesome and super great to work with

Leon Mege makes beautiful micropave bands (1.5mm) for very reasonable. I had him make one to match my HW 3.31 micro pave halo and it is incredible. HW charges $7800 for the matching band. Leon made the same thing for $1500. It would be supremely higher quality and much more dainty than the links you posted.

Go to his new website to check them out.

CornishRex... thanks so much for the info..
