This July is my 5th anniversary and DH and I have been contemplating a complete overhaul of my wedding jewelry. Three months of thinking, shopping, and endless PS reading have led me to...
COMLETE INDECISION
A little background: I have a 0.6ct E, IF, round brilliant in a platinum, four-prong, tiffany-style setting. Wedding band is a channel set half eternity in (sadly) white gold. After five years of rhodium treatments, I''m ready for a platinum w-band.
During the course of shopping I have flipped flopped all over the place, wanting a 3-stone, a halo, heavy bands, thin bands, pave, no pave, something traditional, something unique...endlessly, endlessly, endlessly. Part of the problem is that many of the rings I really love are best suited for larger stones. We both love being at the E-IF quality level, so no center stone upgrade right now. (Yes, I know I could get more stone for the $$ with no visible difference, and yes I know cut is the most important factor.) Down the road, I think I''d like to take this stone and make it a side stone in a substantial 3-stone anniversary ring, but again, not at present...
So here''s the problem. Even though we were willing to spend $5000 on the sets I liked (A Jaffe Bezel or a Ritani endless love halo), my inability to decide has me worried. It seems a little silly to spend that much money on something that isn''t going to be my "forever" ring.
Given all that, I''m thinking of just getting one or two little eternity bands to sandwich my e-ring (which I will leave in its current setting). Worst case, if they don''t match my left-hand ring down the road, I can bump them over to the right hand and wear them as stacked rings.
What I need from you all are suggestions on what might look good with the tiffany-set solitaire. Thanks for the input!
