I have a solitaire, platinum 2.5mm comfort fit setting. It''s .89ct emerald, E/VVS2. I am wanting a channel set wedding band of asschers going part way around, not eternity. I have only found them at facets. It is E-F, VVS-VS. I am concerned about how flush it will be, my E-ring is low set, about 2mm. The one I am looking at is 11 asscher''s, .59 ct., 3.1mm wide, and 2.1mm height. This puts the band''s diamonds at 5.36 points. Somewhere on here someone once recommended to me that 4-5 points ea. will look best.

My other option is .39ct baguette, horizontal set, 9 of them so 4.3 pts ea. This is 2.6 wide, and 1.6 height. For the carat wt. and size, this is pretty pricey, only 250 less than above.

I do not like a very wide setting and am concerned that the 3.1 with the 2.5 will be substantial, almost 6mm.

Also, I have large fingers and will be getting the band 1/2 size bigger than E-ring. So band will be a size 8.5

Please advise!

Well...I like the idea of the little asschers. I have baguettes on either side of my pear and they dont sparkle
very much. I think the only way you are going to be able to tell if the 3.1 is ok or too wide is to go try on
some 3.1 wide wedding bands (or may be easier to find 3.0). Also, facets has a very easy return policy
so you can order and always return (I returned a ring I ordered from them - no problem).
