On February 21 we got 7" of snow in Greenwich, Connecticut, the most of any town in Connecticut. We seem to be running up a lot of records this winter! (In reality, a lot of the old snow-which had gotten very grey-had melted. We no longer had mounds and piles going up into the skies.) Nonetheless, it was unexpected; the forecast had called for rain mixed with snow. I infinitely prefer snow!!! The Newfoundland has been in heaven, lying outside and being snowed upon.

This is our last snow thread:

PS-The thread title should probably say, "Presidents' Day". There are two presidents whose birthdays we are celebrating in February.

Wow, we didn't get nearly that much where I am! Funny, since my town usually gets much more snow than on the coast.

I'm kind of glad we got a nice layer of white to cover up all of the ugly brown and grey stuff that has accumulated

I was a little surprised by our snow, too, as we also had a forecast of an inch of snow then a rain mix. We had about 6 inches. While it is pretty, much of the old stuff had melted away and I was happy with that!

Come to Texas. We had 80+ degrees yesterday.

We got 9 inches where I live in SE Michigan!! They had been saying around 5 inches or so, but holy smokes did we get dumped on!! :o

We only got a few inches, but I felt the exact same as Elrohwen--I was glad to get enough to cover up the old, ugly snow. Not to mention the fact that it had all of he packed snow had morphed into ice, so I was able to get some traction when walking across the back patio instead of falling in my bum.

AGBF, I grew up in your town. We lived on Sherwood between Riversville and King streets. Down here in the city we got close to that 7 inches too. Unlike your Newfie, my pug wasnt having any of it, and had to wear the red rubber booties to go out at all!

I believe we got 12 or 13" on sunday. ugh.
