You guys are so sweet! Thanks Indy, IWPO, Purrfectpear, Kim, IndyGirl, Miracles, Swimmer, and Selkie! I think what I posted so far are the best photos I''ve gotten as of now. The rest will probably have to wait until I get the pro pics back. I''ll look again though.

IWPO -- you''re right, I should change my name here but I think I''ll leave it for now. As for the real life name change, I think I''m going to change it professionally and personally, but leave it legally...for now. All of my kids at school know that I was going to get married, and they know what my new name will be. It''s easier for them to go with that -- they''re only 8.

About the glasses -- I''m SO GLAD I decided to wear them. I think I still look like me, and that was important. Both of us wear glasses all the time, so I do think it would have looked out of place if either one of us didn''t have them on that day. Thanks for the input!

IndyGirl, the honeymoon was great -- thanks for asking! I can post pics if you''d like but I don''t want to bore you.

I''ll be back later!

** I know I''ve missed a lot since I''ve been gone, but I hope everyone is doing well.

Oh Zoe- You were a LOVELY bride! CONGRATS and here''s to many years of wedded bliss.

can''t wait to see the pro pics.

Can''t wait to hear all about it!

First of all Congratulations Zoe! Your pictures are beautiful, and if they''re just a hint of what''s to come, I can''t wait to see the rest!

Congratulations :) you both look amazing and amazingly happy :).

The venue site is just beautiful and the gazebo looked perfect as is, Welcome back :):):):)

Congratulations!!! Those grounds are absolutely gorgeous, everything looks beautiful!! Can''t wait for pro pics!!

PS - I keep hearing about how it''s Quebec City''s 400th anniversary or something, did they have any hoopla about that?

Thank you so much Bensbride, Bee, ChargerGrrl, Linda, Anchor, SDL, Surfgirl, Alj, Sap, Deelight, and Karasue!

Surfgirl, yes, I''m so glad that I went the traditional route when it came to my dress. I know I was a complete stress ball before the wedding, but once we arrived in Maine a few days before the wedding, I felt so at ease. It was really great to see friends and family, and it meant so much to us that many of our guests came from so far away. With everyone together, just relaxing by the pool and soaking in the sun, it just felt RIGHT. Ya know? The whole "afraid of being the center of attention" thing kind of just disappeared. Sure, I was a little nervous just before the ceremony started, but I wasn''t terrified like I had been before we left for the coast. Everything somehow fell into place, and it was SO AWESOME.

Linda, you''re so kind. My husband is a really great guy. He''s shy and quiet, and super warm-hearted and generous. I think I''ll keep him.

Anchor -- I''ll begin another thread about the honeymoon.

SDL -- I read your post to my hubby and he laughed. You''re so kind. Yes, my hubby''s a TALL boy. Well, to me. I was just wearing my usual 1/2" heels, and I didn''t want to try anything higher than what I normally wear.

Alj -- if you check your e-mail, there should be something from me. I''d love to get together and catch up. It''s been a while!

Karasue -- hoopla: YES! Actually, knowing that it''s QC''s 400th annversary (birthday??), I was afraid it was going to be a mob scene. We arrived a week before Paul McCartney was to do a free concert yesterday on the Plains of Ambraham (a park), and it was actually really quiet until this past Saturday. It wasn''t crowded at all, which I was pleasantly surprised about. I was so glad we left when we did (yesterday). My FI was bummed that we didn''t see the show but I had no interest in waiting all day in the park for a show that wasn''t going to begin until about 9:00 or so.

Congrats, Zoe!! Those pictures look great, so I really can''t wait to see the professional ones!

Okay, I should probably just wait and post the pro photos, but I''m having fun. Hope you don''t mind...this really will be the last one for a while (unless you want to see pics of QC).

Here''s one last wedding pic that I just got from a friend. The wedding coordinators told my dad to place his arm under mine as we walked, so that''s what he did. I don''t know if it''s more traditional than linking arms, but whatever.

I think the only thing that bummed me out a little that day was that the DJ messed up a few things. I''m not sure who noticed them other than us, but we took note of the errors. The two biggest ones were that the best man was never introduced when it came time for the toasts. My mom and my sister (my sister was the MOH) were introduced and they gave their toasts (my dad gave a toast at the RD the night before), but the best man didn''t know if he should just go up or not. He told us that he waited and waited, and finally asked us after a lot of guests had left if he could toast us. My husband and I felt horrible that we hadn''t picked up on it right away earlier in the day, but we just didn''t. We had told the DJ that the best man was going to toast us, so in our minds, the DJ was ultimately responsible. The best man, a friend of my husband''s, had been writing and practicing for months. It was a very heartfelt toast, and we were glad that he finally was able to speak, even if it was to only about 1/2 the amount of people.

The other thing that irked me and still bothers me, is that I didn''t get to do the father/daughter dance with my dad. Early on, we had told the DJ that we''d be more comfortable combining the father/daughter and mother/son dances and do them at the same time. We decided that we would dance to "What a Wonderful World." In our conversations with the DJ, he kept calling that dance the "parent dance." I kept reminding him what we wanted, and he assured us that that would happen. So, during the reception, a "very special" dance was introduced. My parents and my husband''s parents were called to the dance floor. My FIL looked p*ssed because he doesn''t dance, AT ALL. Neither does my MIL, but she went along with it. My parents were fine. I looked at the DJ in disbelief, and I pointed to my husband and I as if to say, "what about us?" and the DJ somehow took that to mean that everyone should join in. The song is short, so it wasn''t until the very end that my dad and I got to dance. I was so unhappy that I actually cried about it during our honeymoon. It still upsets me, but in the overall scheme of things, it''s not a huge deal.

Okay, rant over. Here''s the pic I mentioned.

Woo-hooooo! Congrats Zoe! It looks like it was a wonderful day. More photos, pretty pretty please!

Zoe!!! Thank you!!! Even though I don''t post very often I have been following your wedding threads and you were a beautiful bride!!!!!! I LOVED the orchids in your bouquet and the lace on your dress! Please post more when you get your Pro Pics!!

And no, I DEFINITELY DO NOT do anything with the wedding business IRL. I''m just really good at negotiating and finding great deals which allowed us to do everything on a tight budget!

Oh, Zoe! Congrats!!! You look so radiant and happy and beautiful! I''m so happy for both of you and I can''t wait to see more pics!

There are always little things that stick in your mind, but they will lessen with time. I''m sorry you didn''t get a full father daughter dance. Maybe you should ask him to dance next time you see him? My dad and I did the dance but nobody saw because I did it after we cut the cake and I forgot the cake was in a different room than the dance floor, so everyone was in line. I felt horrible about that for awhile, but I''ve gotten past it. And you know what was better than the dance itself? Practicing the night before in my parents'' house with my dad in his socks teaching me to waltz with mom sobbing in the doorway. And I can do that anytime (when I''m home). I think you should dance with your dad when you go visit next time. You don''t need a fancy dress to make it special.

ZOE!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You look seriously beautiful and wonderfully happy! I''m so happy for you! I''m so glad you had a great day. I know I snuck a little moment to think of you, LittleMissSunshine, and my other real life friend on the 12th before all the craziness started! I hope you and your hubby are as blissfully happily married as we are!

Thanks Everlong_X, Julesbeth, Maisie, Kim N, T, Erica, Blondie, Summer, and Sabine!!

Blondie -- you''re very sweet. Thanks! I loved my flowers (as I''ve now said a lot here I think). I can''t wait to see the pro pictures.

Erica -- I have other photos but the ones I posted are the best ones so far. I''ll post more when the pro pics come in.

Summer, you''re right -- I can dance with my dad any time, and I don''t need a fancy dress for that. Thanks for reminding me of that.

Sabine -- thanks so much! I thought of you and Little Miss Sunshine, too. It''s funny, since we don''t really know each other, but you were in my thoughts that day. You look beautiful, and I''m so happy to see your pics. I''m looking forward to your pro pics!
