...in a AAA truck! Yes we did! Okay, so we left QC this afternoon after a fabulous brunch at the Chateau Frontenac. We were about 5 miles from home (after a 7 hour drive) when we decided to stop for dinner. It was at THAT moment that my new hubby hit something on the exit ramp and blew a tire. The nice AAA man drove us to drop off my husband''s car at the tire shop, and then he drove us home. Arriving with the AAA man was NOT how I pictured us coming home from our honeymoon. Ah well. It makes a good story though, doesn''t it?

No, on to pictures. I''ll give more details after I get a bite to eat (our pizza just arrived). Pics to follow.

Welcome back!

First up, the ceremony site. We didn''t decorate the gazebo much -- the grounds are beautiful as is, so we let nature do its thing.

Thanks Harriet!

This one is of my dad and me, as he's giving me away. So is the next picture.

Kissy kissy

You can also see my sister''s and my flowers. I loved them. LOVED them. I can''t wait to see the photographer''s pictures of them.

Last one. Excuse the yellow faces on my friends; I rather not post their pics.

Here''s the best one I have so far of my dress. I hope you can see the detailing. I know I had many hang ups about it, but in the end, I loved it, and I got so many nice compliments about it.

Oh Zoe, how lovely! You were absolutely right to let the ceremony site speak for itself. The flowers are stunning... but YOUR DRESS! Wow, I love you gown! You look so happy and confident and relaxed and lovely... so YOU, just in an amazing gown and all dressed up! I can''t wait for more pics, but the ones you posted brought a huge smile to my face just imagining the wonderful day! Congrats honey!

Zoe, you and your hubby are adorable; you both look so happy, what a beautiful day!!! Sorry about the last part of the trip but it sounds like otherwise a great time. Many congrats

The ceremony site does indeed speak for itself - absolutely beautiful!

The one thing that catches my eye is the love and happiness that you both radiate!!

Congratulations! May you enjoy many years of happiness together

Congrats you look amazing!!!

Welcome home, Zoe!

You and everything looked so beautiful! Both of you looked so happy! How tall is your husband, by the way? He towers over you!

You looked amazing and you and your husband look so happy! What a gorgeous dress and your ceremony site and flowers are beautiful! Congratulations!

Great photos, you looked radiant and beautiful Zoe! Congrats and welcome back!

ZOE!!!!! Congrats again, sweetheart! You looked GORGEOUS!!!! What a beautiful bride you were, and I absolutely adore your venue (was just showing J your photos because I think everything was perfect). Sorry you ended up coming home from your honeymoon in a AAA truck, but everything else looks positively smashing, my dear!!

Thank you so much Gypsy, Skippy, Isabel, Pichuchy, Claudinam, Thing2, Sarah, Violet, and Gwendolyn!! It''s so nice to hear such nice things!

I can''t wait for our photographer''s pictures so I can see how many shots of the grounds she got. It was a perfect summer day -- not too warm or humid.

Claudinam, my husband is 6 feet tall. I''m only 4''9", so there''s quite a difference. I''m so used to it, but seeing the difference in pictures is amusing. I didn''t really think about it at the time, but now I wish that the photographer had taken more photos of us sitting down, so the height difference isn''t AS noticeable. It doesn''t help that I look really young, but I''m 34 and he''s 36.

Sarah, we were annoyed about the blown tire and that we never got a chance to go out to dinner to celebrate the end of our honeymoon, but we were just happy to have someone "rescue" us. It was POURING, and it could have been miserable, but it was actually pretty funny. We got home at about 9:30 and toasted over pizza.

Gwen, you''re so sweet -- thank you!! I''ll post the pro pics when we get them, and feel free to share any with J. I''m glad you like what I''ve posted so far.

Hey Zozo! Our honeymoon started with a breakdown and AAA too! DH got a migraine and then the rental car wouldn't start. We still had a great time though. Sounds like you did too. Great pics! You look so elegant and SO happy! And hubby is a cutey.

ETA: I just realized you went with your glasses after all. And you know what? I think you made the right choice. Those are GREAT glasses, and they really make you look unique and 'like you', not like any old bride. I think that's what's giving the elegant pizzazz! Plus, the dress is really perfect! WAs it comfy?

Oh, but I like that the pictures reflect the height difference - it''s real. And it''s sexy that he''s so much taller than you! Do you have all your pictures back already? Because I''m thinking she may have captured some of you guys sitting down when you didn''t even notice?

You are both so happy you''re glowing, ZB! You look so gorgeous and your DH so handsome. The AAA truck story will be something you look back at and laugh about in 50 years. Congratulations to both of you!

What a cute story! It reminds me of Home Alone in a weird way - how she took that truck home haha Everything looks beautiful and you and your *DH* are glowing in the pictures! Congratulations - how was the honeymoon?

Yayayayaay Zoe, you''re a married woman!!

The wedding site was beautiful with all that natural greenery. Your dress was lovely, but your happiness was the crowning glory!!

It''s sort of a bummer about the tire, but as you said, it makes for a good story

I''m glad you had a great honeymoon, and I think toasing over pizza is as romantic as true love can get
