We are all sick - can cat catch a cold from human?

My husband has graciously shared his cold with me, now we are both down with the yukiest head cold ever! The strange thing is that our foster cat also started sneezing! The other 3 cats seem to be fine, but the foster cat sneezes constantly starting tonight.

Should I be worried about the cat?

Yup, they can. There was a newspaper article (in the NY Times, I think) about a cat that had H1N1.

I don''t think we have H1N1. It is a nasty head cold that is most likely viral in origin. In human we just ride it out, should we do the same for our cat?
