Wax is IN!!!

Hey everyone -

For those who haven't been up to date with my other threads, I commissioned Yoni at EternitybyYoni to recreate a vintage Men's Russian ring using a August Vintage Round from GOG. After ditching the original CAD design plan we switched to hand carved wax route. Lucky for me today I got an email from Yoni this afternoon with the pictures of the wax carving. The first link is the inspiration ring, the first picture is of my photoshop take and the rest are of the wax carvings. The ring will be 18k unplated WG with a .27 AVR diamond.

I suggest looking at the pictures on a phone to zoom in and see the actual detailing. Im very pleased on how it all came out!

Very cool - Yoni really seems to have nailed the flow of the original inspiration piece! I think the choice of unplated 18kt white gold will highlight the ring carving and emphasis your AVR. Looking forward to seeing your pics of the finished piece!

Thanks mary and gypsy! I gave him the go ahead on starting production last night, hoping to have the finished ring by the end of next week. The hard part is going to be waiting for my wedding next year to wear it Totally happen I went with this design also over the couple more contemporary one's I was looking at. I just love the more vintage pieces. Im already toying with RH ring ideas as a possible wedding present / anniversary piece / any gift down the road haha.
