Thanks to PS, I learned A LOT! I now have a custom ring being made by WhiteFlash. Katie is the biggest help! With her support and patience, numerous emails and phonecalls, we came up with a nice diamond and setting. The setting ended up having more side stones (melee) than the ring I "copied" from the A.Jaffe collection. Because of what I''ve learned her on PS, I am getting a wedding set that I''ve always wanted.
My fiance proposed on Christmas Day 2005. He had purchased a ring from a B&M blindly, not knowing anything about jewelry and diamonds. He let me know that it was okay to return the ring if I wanted until we were closer to our wedding date. Though it was beautiful, I agreed for a couple of reasons. First, I think he was just overwhelmed as we just closed on a brand new house the same day he bought the ring, and second... I think he paid too much for the diamond. It was a princess cut 1.3 I1 (I don''t remember the color). The inclusion was clearly visible right in the middle of the stone. I had stumbled onto PS a month or so before, so I went back to the website to price it... it should have been HALF of what he paid!
Long story shortened, I''m here today posting the wax images Katie sent me. As I told her, for the same price of the original ring he gave me, I''m getting BOTH my W-ring and E-ring with excellent diamonds!!! The center stone is an ACA H&A 1.147 I VS2. The side stones are .02 point ACA''s that go around about half way. My ring size is 9, so the extra stones will help give it the full eternity illusion.
I am excited beyond words to receive my rings. I''m having my Matron of Honor sit with me outside the day I pick them up so we can open the package together! Katie from WF has been a godsend. She has been very, very, very patient and understanding with me and my indecisiveness. If there were any questions, she would speak with Bob or the design team to answer my questions. She even indulged me by having the team take a picture of two stones (I couldn''t decide) side by side! She''s always available and answers my emails and phone calls promptly, and took the time to have a conversation with me.
So thanks again to everyone here on PS, and to those who gave me advice on my previous posts. Of course, I will post pics of the rings once I receive them. For now, here''s the wax images!
