@cokitty lovely rings and idea! I think I am going to stick with my original side traps and pave band. Still may reduce the 5x3 traps to 4.5x3 or something.

The rings above look like they could possibly be for a right hand ring, but are truly beautiful, thanks so much for the suggestion though!

My centre is 4.35 carat and the two sides are .35 each. The small diamonds are 2 or 3 mm each (can’t remember) and the sides are .30 carat. Love these.

TDF!!! *Swoon*!!!

I dont know your personal aesthetic but I also find emerald cuts with traps and bullets absolutely classy as f***. You're worried that getting a ring with traps again might be too similar to your current ring but I also believe slight angle differences an/or changes in proportions can make or break a look- you could peg me as a halo lover but partial to halos when the ratio between stone and halo is a large as possible. Otherwise, halos do nothing for me. So maybe a slight decrease in traps or traps with steeper angles might take you from loving your ring to finding the ring.
For me, I LOVE the look of the traps when there is a noticeable slant in the traps.

and this 5 stone...

if money weren't a deciding factor in my life and I could afford a ring like this, I'd never have a wandering eye...
Just doubling back... I have always loved the 5 stone with traps and bullets but figured it wouldn’t work with my finger size being a 4. Would it?? Look at my avatar... my new EC is bigger, don’t know how there would be room for bullets too:/

With your finger being a size 4, I think the 2 outer edge stones will get buried in between your fingers. Your center is very large, especially for your size! What a great reason to not get the 5 stone haha Angled traps will be perfect! Have you decided on sizes yet? I wish I knew more for you

I hear ya with wanting a 5-stone ring on a size 4 finger :cry2: Few years ago, I had a 9x6mm EC I wanted set into a 5-stone, but it just wasn't going to look/feel right. I considered maybe having some engraving or doing something with the shanks at least (instead of adding bullets/tapered baguettes at the ends). In the end, I just scrapped the whole idea and halo'ed it. Ended up never wearing the ring. Sigh. But now I tend to wear right hand rings on a size 6 finger, so maybe this time I'll have enough room... :Up_to_something2:

What’s the harm in asking DK for a Cad for the 5 stone?

@nala I thought about it but just decided to take the safer route of traps and micro pave. The five stones that I have seen, that I love, all have been done by Leon Mege. I feel like five stones are not created equal! He nails proportions, every time! And I didn’t want to take the risk if I didn’t go with Leon, which I’m not, because he is very expensive. So maybe one day I will change my mind and reset this one:)
