For our Mexico wedding in July, FI may end up ditching the jacket all together and just wearing a Tommy Bahama shirt, khakis or linen pants and sandals. He is a pretty casual guy as it is
Not sure what your time frame is, but they should be coming out with even lighter weight suiting in the next couple months as warmer weather approaches.
I hope more people can respond to this thread because I''m really curious about the possibility of lighter weight fabric. We''re getting married in September, but FI is *always* hot. I know he''ll be taking his jacket off right away, so it would be nice if he could get something cooler that he wouldn''t mind wearing all night.
My FI will be wearing a lightweight black calvin klein suit that he loves it''s the one suit he says he feels most comfortable in and a white shirt with a black or white or maybe pink tie it''s all up to him
My FI thinks he wants a tan linen suit for him and khakis and linen shirts for the GMs, but he hasn''t decided where to buy his items yet. I attached a picture from a wedding we went to in Cancun last summer where the groom wore khakis and a really nice, cotton shirt. And since we are on the topic of warm weather summer attire...I also attached a picture of FI and me at a summer formal last year also and he wore his tux pants with an ivory dinner jacket.
Thanks for responding everyone. I was surprised a few of your FIs wore/are wearing black suits. We hadn''t considered going with a dark fabric. I guess that just provides D with that many more options.
The JCrew suits look great; I liked them. Anyone ever see these suits in person? I''ve never seen them in the shops.
My Man of Honour and D''s Best Man and Groomsmen will be wearing Tommy Bahama. D wants to wear something a bit more formal, though.
