Wedding Wanted: One Strawberry Signature Drink!

No blended ice / no daquiris... Some blend maybe but light.

Anyone have any good recipes to share? Other than strawberries and champagne. I''d love to use whole strawberries in the drinks as well, sliced in half or whatever.

This site has SO many drink combinations, it's crazy. I searched strawberry, and there were 98 results. IMO, I think the Strawberry Kiss sounds delicious!

a strawberry Bellini? instead of peach juice, use strawberry puree. mmmmmm
berries sort of lend themselves to punch-type drinks, so maybe some type of rum-berry punch.

Strawberry Mint Sangria. It''s so yummy and refreshing- but not overly sweet so it appeals to a lot of people IMO. I have the recipe in the crate & barrell sangria cookbook. I can post it later if you''re interested.

Sorry I kept forgetting to post the recipe for the Strawberry Mint Sangria.

Combine 2 cups sliced strawberries, 1/2 cup fresh mint and 1 1/2 ounces brandy. Add in a bottle of dry white wine and refridgerate. Before serving, add in 12 ounces of club soda or gingerale if you prefer it to be sweeter.

I have found that it''s the best when you let the strawberries soak in the wine overnight.

I love it when they squirt raspberry or strawberry puree in swirls on the inside of the glass and then fill it with a mimosa.

But that wouldn''t work for a wedding. I was just thinking about brunch...I''m hungry and now this thread has me thirsty.

Oh my gosh, I had this yummy drink special at Luna Park (you're from SoCal, right?) a couple of years ago, a strawberry-basil martini. It was DELISH. I couldn't get their recipe, but I'm sure there are some online. I'll look into it.

ETA: Okay, this sounds like what I had:
Strawberry Basil Martini


Ingredients:

Three fresh strawberries, cored and sliced
Three basil leaves
Splash of simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water boiled until dissolved)
2 ounces premium vodka
Ice


Directions:

1. Grab your favorite shaker; add muddle strawberries, chilled simple syrup, and basil leaves together
2. Add lots of ice and vodka and shake, shake, shake.
3. Tip it into your martini glass, garnish with a basil leaf and sip away.

Try some fresh basil in your lemonade or water pitcher for an added sneak of flavor. You herbal daredevil, you!

I HAD to go out and buy the Hello kitty drink things...and drink 3! I NEVER DRINK! So...I''m reading stuff on rocky talky...and go a lil overboard...and can''t spell, and can''t read half of things! I hope I didn''t sound to stupid!

JUST AN FYI the hello kittys are GREAT!
