Ladies, ladies, ladies.... ... aaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH [just a random scream for no reason]

My wedding is in December, I''ve purchased and received my beautiful Jim Hjelm gown which needs minimal alterations, and I''ve even found a matching purse on eBay in the same antique ivory. Jewelry - I''m getting close but the shoes...THE SHOES! I''ve chosen eggplant/plum as my accent wedding color. My flowers, the bridesmaids'' hair ornaments, bridesmaids bouquet ribbons, rose petals, centerpieces, boutonnieres, etc are all a deep plum or eggplant (calla lilies) and I would really like to have some eggplant/plum on my feet. My fiancee is 6''3" and I''m about 5''4 (and a half!)" so I would love a 4" heel or close to it. Satin would be ideal, a platform would be a little more comfortable but it''s not a must. I love ankle straps, peep toes and embellishments (roses/flowers or bow of some sort).

I have actually found my dream shoe. Well, it WAS until I saw the price - a lovely Louboutin for $760. After consulting my account balance and my "Recession Livin''" manual, I decided $760 was a no-no. A hell no-no. My sister offered to buy the shoes for me as a gift but I reluctantly declined and asked her to cover the cost of the cake instead (slick, right?).

I guess what I''m willing to spend depends on how badly I want the shoe. If the Louboutin were $500, I could be convinced. Hey what about a knock off? Any suggestions? Anyone? Cute shoes you''ve come across? Purple, plum, eggplant, raisin (what''s with the food colors?), aubergine...sexy, sexy, tall, tall. Please help...please. Pretty please ;)

I''m the world''s last person to be helping with shoe searching as I need to do it myself more often, but I thought I''d look some too since I''m looking in the same color range as you are for mine!

Maybe too light a purple for you but I wanted these kate spade's soooo bad for my purple/plum wedding

ETA they also come in dyeable white satin if you like the style but not the color.

Holy cannoli! I didn''t know that the white satin Kate Spade Gracious was dyeable!!!!! Also, the heel height is listed as anywhere from 3" to 4" depending on the website. I don''t want to get them and they''re only 3." They''re still going on the list though - THANKS YOU GUYS!!


I also like the color of the Lora but I need a higher heel...I like the peep with the fluffy ruffle/bow thing on the toe too... just too purple =/

I think the ones in the second pic are called "Blayne" by Chinese Laundry. Either way, no luck finding the Baldwins in a purple hue.

I saw these and loved them too!!!! My only concern is that I keep seeing them in different shades of the same purple, depending on the website. In your pic, they''re perfect - very deep, but I''ve also seen them in the same color, but appearing closer to a lighter purple or dark magenta. Actually, I had another concern with these - the zipper. I''m just nervous about it snagging on the tulle (or whatever that annoying material is called) underneath my dress. I do like them though =)

Nina makes a shoe similar in style to the CLs you are lusting after. They are called the Electra. High heel, sideways bow thing on the vamp, and they come in purple.

I''m going to say yes I can at this time, but I wouldn''t bet the farm that I wouldn''t be crying like a baby by hour 2 in those bad boys. Those are SICK!!! BUT....still too purple. I really like them though...very sexaaay!!!

but they''re 3" heel, you mentioned in another post you wanted higher. but zappos has free shipping both ways...maybe try them out

I love the nine west ones!! I thought about those because they''re not quite as deep in color as I was hoping for but they add a nice variation (of course not everything in that accent color is the same...some lighter some darker...). Plus they''re cheap =)

And the hookerish ones....shaking my head...I LOVE them!! Hookerish is good! No one will see the shoes except for a pic before the ceremony, and then when my garter is removed....SEXAY - CAn you imagine those shoes with some cutesie fishnet thigh-highs and a garter? You can''t wear those mammmerjammers with pantyhose - my future husband would LOOOOOOOVE IT. These are going on the list, BigT =) A little daring, but different!
