Your cakes are totally awesome if you lived near me I'd order one. I ordered my 97 year old Grandmother this cake made by a lady local to them, a few weeks ago - it's vanilla inside with caramel sauce layers inside and caramel and caramel popcorn on the outside, they said it tasted good (I live a long way from them so I didn't taste or see it, just photos).



The year before I ordered my grandmother this one made by the same lady;

I really enjoy making cupcakes just for special occasions involving family and friends (and so it shal remain) but I’d love to branch out a little with piping !

A friend gave me a (36?) piece set of Atesco tips, and I’ve waltzed them out a couple times. Is there a website you recommend, or YouTube channel that covers this particular brand? I believe they’re sold by Williams-Sonoma and Sur la Table. I’ve had terrible luck finding tutorials or examples online. I usually say “eff it” though and move on on my own to decorate however I feel like.

Here are the cupcakes I made for my daughter’s bday this week. Apparently I lost my D2 Wilton tip so I resorted to another random closed star tip. Meh. They could’ve been better, but literally no one but me is expecting greatness. My buttercream is from scratch and people are usually just riding that sugar high when they give feedback. Hahaha.

Ateco tips? Can you post a pic of the set? Try these: they are AH-MA-ZING and so easy. Russian piping tips. Here is a link to them and here are some cupcakes I've made with them. It takes very little practice to get good with them!
