Hello! Boyfriend and I are ring shopping, finally!! I have decided I want an August Vintage Round or an August Vintage Cushion. We are both actively looking... we will both be picking this out together. And I think we may stop by Good Old Gold this week when we are in NY!
Our budget is 8,000 right now. I filled out a request form sent from Good Old Gold, and it looks like they have to custom cut our diamond... that is pretty awesome, is that typical?? We checked the inventory on the website and it looks like there really isn't anything in our price range with the specs I'm looking for. I want something 1ct or above, since the older cuts sometimes face up smaller.
I said we'd go as low as a J, in an AVR... maybe set it in a rose gold halo. Thoughts? Also does anyone know if anyone on here is selling one that we might be able to get for a little lower? A side note, I do have a gorgeous setting from Brilliantly Engaged from a prior engagement. It's a cushion halo, and a plain shank. If I could get a stone the right size (that was a 1.5ct round brilliant) and right color (the melee is g/h I think), we could use that. BF doesn't care, he also thinks the setting is beautiful, even though it was from a relationship that didn't work out.
