i just picked it up! i just dont have time or a place to open it up and look at it!!! (still at work for a few more hours). so for now i have this box in my bag next to me... taunting me.

i REALLY cant wait to get home!

yeah!!! so far i really like it! i didnt get home til late so no sunlight, but hopefully tomorrow ill get some shots in natural light!

i also now know why everyone has such a hard time taking pictures too! here are a few i got this evening. never realized how little light i had in here!

i put it on my desk and walked around to see the light it kicked back at me. really exciting!!

i think this one i will be keeping! friday met with an appraiser for a guided close look and professional opinion, and everyting came out well! im meeting with leon in the AM to see what we can put together! should be fun.

anyhow, more pictures. ive only seen it in direct sunlight briefly (and didnt have camera, but wow! those pictures might have to happen once it is set). it has been hard getting a ballance of me, free time, diamond, sunlight, and no girlfriend around!

im still amazed at how hard photographs are to get. some of you really are pros at getting nice shots. my camera kept focusing on the reflection in the facets!

well, my little round diamond looked lonely so it got some friends today when i was at leon''s place

a pair of .30 pears

the setting is more on the simple side of his. round center w/ pear side stones. double claw on the center stone. ...and from there its up to his good taste

.....but now its back to waiting again :p but at least this time it is much less stressful!


Rod: im still learning on the picture thing as well. (i think i took 70! you are just seeing the best ones) as for the camera setting. mine has a MACRO setting on it (icon for this looks like a flower...and you usually have to zoom out to use it). i needed to focus on something other than the stone and then move it into the field of view. otherwise my camera was focusing in the objects getting reflected in the facets! i think the camera ended up about 3" away from the diamond. good luck!
