I am helping a friend look for settings/diamonds and could use some help. I don''t know much about what to look for in cushion cuts (which is what she wants). I have read up about rounds here, though. Here are the specs of one diamond I have found. Please help me help her

Hi Jamie,

Unfortunately, we really can't tell you much of anything based on that limited information. Do you have pictures? Idealscope images? Depth? Table? With fancy cuts like cushions really the most important tool you will have is your eyes...

ETA: And the absolute best shortcut to a fab cushion is just to go through Mark at ERD. He really has a knack for picking great looking cushions!

I don''t have any images but I believe depth is 72.6% and table is 67%.

Images will help a LOT because there''s many different cushion looks and each one has its own set of "recommended" specification, which can also be thrown out the window because of the other facet angles that are not captured on paper.

I like a table in the 50s% and a depth about 10% away. Because that is what I liked when I looked at alot of cushions!

But I did see some cushions I didn''t like. You really have to see them.
