Ok TODAY (could change tomorrow--probably will change tomorrow) I am waffling between the Vatche Swan and the Vatche Round Channel x-prong, both 18K for my .8 RB from WF.
1. I took pictures of the RC and noticed (on digital camera view) that there seemed to be a lot of space between each diamond, not that they weren''t close together but you are putting a round diamond in a straight channel, so I wondered if lots of gunk gets in there, is it inherently a "trapper-keeper" kind of diamond design? (I''m in health care and although I won''t wear it to work, the Concept is what I am thinking about) I had to opportunity to try it on for real and it felt great (smooth, unlike lots of bands with pave, etc that felt uncomfotable.)
2. MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: The design interest on the channel is more visible, where the excitement on the swan is not the plain sides, but the head, so do you loose some visual joy with the swan, like do you have to turn it about so you can see that swoop when it is on your finger? I guess when I see people''s pics of solitaires straight on they all look alike on that front view. Can you see the uniqueness of the head on those solitaires easily as you wear it?
3. Since the channel has more weight distributed across that front of the band would it be less likely to spin?
4. Is it worth getting platinum head on the 18K (if it is offered, I''m not sure) cos money is an issue? I cannot afford Plat and even may decide to do temp setting this year and do real setting next year anyway. Then ya''ll can look forward to me posting daily on my fickle whims
On either, I would only use it as wedding band--no additional separate band.
I reserve the right to change my mind minute by minute!!!!LOL
