How do I get long lasting volume in my fine hair?
I am so sick of my flat, lifeless hair. It''s very healthy, but it just looks so boring. It''s long, 5 inches past my shoulder, and a light brown color. It''s very soft and fine, but not thin or thinning. It has not been processed in any way. The last time it was dyed was nearly 4 years ago, and that''s all been cut out by now. All I ever do is use a volumizing shampoo and blow-dry it upside-down. I have tried styling products including root pumpers, mousses, etc, but I''m looking for less hassle.
I have been told that dyeing hair can make it seem thicker, and I am wanting to mix up my look a bit. I would really like to have a sandy blonde color. Does anyone know if dying my hair would give it a little boost? I have also considered a new-age perm. I really love the look of hair with wide, spiral curls. Anyone with fine hair had a successful perm? Or a nightmare perm, for that matter?
Any advice would be most helpful. Thanks so much!
