Hi,
I was wondering if any experts or vendors here have actually visually compared the sparkle of the diamonds with various HCA scores. If you have, did you find that a low HCA score diamond (say 1) is in fact more lively than a HCA score of 3 or 5? I am not sure if I am relying too much on the HCA without doing the stones justification by looking at them visually.

One more question, can colored inclusions make the GIA VS2 clarity grade? Thank you all!

Yes, in most cases you could see a slight difference between let's say a 1 and a 3.5 on the HCA.

And yes, it's possible for a VS 2 to have some tiny colored inclusions.

Giangi,
Thank you for your reply. If the VS2 has colored crystal inclusions, would they hinder sparkle of the diamond visible to the naked eye? Thanks.

VS2 should not have naked eye visible inclusions, even if they are black. From the side view, a very slim possibility, but not face down.

VS grading should not hinder the sparkle or performance of the stone in any way.
