Is a 1 CT princess cut comparable to a .75 CT rectangular radiant cut (l/w ratio 1.36-1.4)? Would they appear to be about the same size? Would love to see some sort of side by side comparisson. Thank you in advance.

Hi radiant, It would be really hard to answer that question because carat weight is not a good way to judge the size of a diamond, especially a fancy. The dimensions of specific diamonds would be helpful. Here is a chart that can give you a general idea for the size of ideally cut diamonds. Hope this helps!

Hi RP

heb is right, weight doesn''t always indicate size so you would need to compare the diameters of actual stones to see how they compare to each other.

Ok...thanks anyway

Well I guess if I use this chart as sort of a "face up" guide a 1 ct princess is 5.5x5.5 and a radiant cut .75ct is probably 6.5x4.5. taking into account the cut corners of a radiant..it may look a smidge longer but I think they may appear the same size. Any thoughts on this?
