Is there a large visual size difference between a 1.38 or 1.5?

if all cost are realtive -Which would you go with? and why?
Hopefully this is enough info

1.38c/color g/vs2/1.9 HCA/no flour/ex symmetry& polish
or

1.5c/color h/eye clean si1/1.3 HCA/ no flour/ex symmetry & polish

or

1.52c/color h/vs2/0.7 HCA/no flour/ ex symmetry & polish

or

1.51c/color g/eye clean si1/1.4 hca/ no flour/ex symmetry & polish

It depends on the particular diamond proportions.
If all the stones are nicely proportioned and have about 61% depth the diameter of the 1.38ct. would be about 7.2mm and of the 1.50 about 7.4mm. Comparing them together side by side you will notice the size difference, but looking at each of them alone probably would not.
The price is an important factor - a 1.38ct. diamond is a so called "oversized" (because it is between 1.25 and 1.49), the diamonds over 1.5 have higher prices for carat, but oversized diamonds sometimes have almost the same prices for carat as 1.5ct (which is not good I would say, I wouldn´t buy such diamond).
If the price overall is good (both for the stone and for carat) I would prefer 1.38.

the 1.38 is a little deeper at 62.9 the 1.52 is 61.6. All the of the rest of the diamonds (other then the 1.38 is a little deeper) are meeting in the ideal cut range. All are within about $1500 of eachother.

I also jsut found a 1.32/g/vs2/ 1.9 hca/61.7 d/57 table/no flour/exc symmetry & polish. Great on inclusions

how different in ring would a 1.32 or 1.38 or 1.5 look. Do I go for the little size differance or up the quality/

The difference between 1.32ct. and 1.52ct. is noticeable, but both are of a very fine size.
What is your budget? I can have a look on offers from the vendors like James Allen, bluenile or Whiteflash, maybe will find some other nice stones so your choice will be wider...

Thanks that is awesome. I have been using solomonbrothers quite a bit because BlueNile/jamesallen charge more for their cert of ideal. I can determine ideal on Solomon Bros and the HCA formula. White Flash doesn't seem too bad though. Also I know some people who have used Solomon with a lot of success. Budget is under $14K. I could look at in the $14s if I can negotiate down into $13s. I seriously appreciate the help mastercut.

wow very nice. Thank you
just a few observations though. In a prior post (titled "what do you think" please review as I am still considering this as well) to me you recommended:
"Personally I would go higher in colour and lower in clarity, but it´s just a personal preference" in these examples you actually went up in clarity and less in color. Just wondering what your thoughts were on this.
also any concerns about the thin girdles on these?

Thank you I do appreciate your help on this. It is such a large investement I want to make sure I do it right.

Yes, that´s true :-) But the cut goes first :-) You know, the rule was just general.
In the end I more or less respected the way you chose the previous stones (VS-SI1 clarity/G-H colour). And I just chose great cuts for nice prices.
Unfortunately I have´t found anything of a great cut and higher colour.

Overall from the current stock I consider these 2 stones the best available. I would buy the first one probably...

This stone is also good:

But I would recommend the previous 2 :-)

Nice. thanks I ordered the certs on both from James allen. much appreciated. I am sure I will have more questions for you.

You are most welcome!

The first stone girdle is fine. AGS has a specific system of measuring girdles (thin in AGS isn´t the same as thin in GIA) and this particular girdle seems to be a classic fine girdle without any problems.
As for the second stone I am not sure because I can´t see any numbers/certificate yet. Will see.
Please do not forget to request IDEAL SCOPE images of each of the stone too.
