Visible difference between two carat sizes??

Hi

Wondering if you think there would be a visible size difference between a 1.16 and 1.33 round cut diamond..both excellent cut.. similar colour?

I know that there are others that can speak to this more comprehensively ....but if cuts are comparable, I'd say .15 to .20 is a perceptible size difference. I'll be curious to hear from those that have a finer gauge than I do on size.

Set and on the finger, no other comparison... similar effect.

I would definitely go for the 1.3 if choosing between the two. But that is not enough difference to bother with an upgrade, in my opinion. I was upgrading from a 1 ct. stone and looked at a lot of different sizes. I don't have pictures of exactly what you are asking, but I'll post a one as an example. The differences look bigger in these large images, but the difference would be smaller in real life.

size differences are more important the smaller you go. a .4 and a .6 are going to have a lot more visual difference than say a 1.4 and a 1.6. I believe once you reach the 1ct mark it takes a lot more ctw to ad visual impact.
