Violet Blue sapphire in Vatché

So I saw this stone online and bought it. I had been looking for a certain color blue sapphire and this one came pretty close. I had it set in a Vatché U113 that I had laying around. It's 3.15ct natural violetish-blue sapphire according to the GRS report. It's unheated and its origin is Pakistan(Azad/Kashmir). The color really depends on the lighting. Now for the ring spam - sorry!

Thank you! The annoying thing about sapphires is their density. 3.15 seems kind of ...small - The curse of a 6.5 and larger hands. I would have gone bigger if I had found more change in my couch cushions.

Thank you! I was really specific about the color I wanted. Some people love them, but I didn't want a super dark stone.

What’s the mm size? At 3cts it’s huge but I know what you mean about it the density making it smalller than you’d like. It’s certainly still a large rock even with PS standards.

Thank you! The report says 8.95 x 8.06 x 5.25. Not huge, but it's what I can afford at the moment until we sell this house I'd like to put it in a setting with pave or sidestones but that's going to have to wait.

I love that shade of violet-blue, it's stunning! The simple setting accentuates the beauty of the sapphire, I think FTR the stone size looks plenty big to me and it works well with your other rings and the bracelets in the glamor shot.

That’s pretty darn large...especially when it comes to blue sapphires. I can’t get over the color.

Thank you! It's a lot harder to find the right sapphire than it is to find the right diamond. There are so many color variations and it's so light dependent. But I think I got it right.
