My finance and I are looking for a vintage ring for our Spring wedding. We''re doing a whole late-30s/early''40s wedding in an aircraft museum. (I may even try to get an Andrews-sister type of group to sing.)
I''ve been hunting on estate jewelry websites, but I want to see the ring on my finger before I spend a fortune. Many sites, however, have a 10-20% "restocking" fee. That makes it pretty impossible for a bride on a serious budget to try before buying.
Has anyone out there had any dealings with companies that don''t charge this fee?
Also, I want to have a ring with a loving history. Anyone know how to find people who (for whatever reason) want to sell their vintage ring?
