Continuing to part with a few treasured pieces from my vintage jewelry collection.
Vintage WG 2.05 TCW Old Euro Diamond Deco ring with Certificate.
loupetroop.com
Asking $2450!
Much less than I paid for it years ago!
Great deal as we know that earth-mined/natural diamond prices like this one have been impacted by cheap lab diamonds. This ring is great for someone who wants a real old euro diamond ring for less than the price of a lab diamond ring!
Payment plan friendly with $250 nonrefundable deposit to reserve it.
Officially Certified and appraised:
*Center stone: 1.25ct Old European Diamond (earth-mined/natural of course, since lab diamonds were not around back then).
Really nice cut, even and symmetric but chunky/chonky, almost like a symmetrical old mine cut. Cute visible culet. Faces up big for its carat weight. Stated as good for cut only because it is an Old European cut and true old cuts (vs newly cut in an old style) will not get excellent for cut; they typically will get good, fair or poor for cut because older stones were cut my hand and because the rating proportions are based on modern round brilliant stones which just have different % angles and proportions compared to old cut stones. However, old cuts shine in personality, romance and give big dramatic flashes of light that many of us love.
*Color- G - very hard to find this white of a color in an old cut diamond.
*Clarity: SI1 - also hard to find great clarity, this is 100% eye clean and I don’t see any issues with magnification either (see zoomed in photos from multiple angles).
*Culet- small and gorgeous culet present!
Perfect melding of old cut glamour and stunning light return with the clarity, symmetry and white color we love in modern stones!
Size 5.75 on my mandrel and sizable up or down in size as the diamonds only go 3/4 of the way around the band. Best to check with your jeweler if you need a huge change in size of course.
Very pretty metal engraving and side profile/gallery on the ring. Masterfully made.
Side diamonds: 0.8ctw
G-H white color, SI clarity.
2.05 TCW.
Payment plan up to 6 months. I am very flexible; you can make payments when you like and I will ship when paid in full.
Free USA shipping. USA shipping only please unless you can provide help with an international shipping lable.
Shipping from Seattle, WA, USA.
All payment methods accepted.
Appraised for $12,500 in 2020 and we know that gold price has skyrocketed since then even if diamond prices have not increased much.
I paid $9500 for the ring from a local vintage/antique store, about 15 years ago as a cocktail ring. Apparently it was part of the estate of a (great?)granddaughter of a woman whose family was a founding member of the city of Seattle, so there is some fun history as well!
