Hi, I just bought this lovely antique ring from a fellow PSer and I’m looking for an antique band to go with it:

It would need to be size 9 or very close due to the difficulty of getting rings resized now. About 2-3 mm. Probably yellow gold (18k only, Tiffany would be great) but I’m open to platinum or white gold (14k or 18k) if it‘s interesting looking (clear orange blossom pattern for example). I also like oxidized gold bands like the ones sold at Singlestone, so in that case I would be open to a newer band.

I know this might be a long shot, but maybe someone has a band they are looking to sell (?). Thanks!

This looks to be modern but I had my eye on it. Not what you are lookimg for but it is your size so thought I'd link it.

Thanks so much 737lizakg. It’s really nice. It might be a bit too shiny and modern-looking to go with my 1896 Victorian ring. But if I had a new solitaire I think I would buy it because I like the style and it’s a great price for a platinum band.

Oh, if anyone comes across a size 9 band similar to the ones I’ve described would you please let me know? Or if you know of a good online source? I’ve perused eBay, Etsy, Ruby Lane, and Lang’s but might have missed something, especially on eBay. Thanks!

Sorry @sprinklesparkles! I almost never have good luck in these types of situations. So I was surprised I came across the ring right after it was posted.

If I ever decide to sell I’ll let you know!

Hi SallyB, your ring originally came from CJ Antiques over in England. I check out their website every so often to see what's new.

Thanks @PreRaphaelite !

Some options:https://etsy.me/3aV9F3t - size 9 crisp pattern but not yellow gold.

https://etsy.me/2u6WYQu - no size 9s listed but a lot of very crisply patterned NOS bands and the vendor says to ask as other sizes may be available.

https://etsy.me/3aQ3KwB - no size 9s but a number of vintage Tiffany bands so might be able to source you one?

Thanks so much, @foxinsox!

I really like the first band. I put it in my favorite/watch list to see if the vendor has a sale soon. I’ve noticed more (and better) Etsy sales recently.

I‘m going to reach out to the other shops :)

How about another boat shaped ring?

Ooh, that’s pretty. But I better not go down that colored gemstone rabbit hole...lol!

Thanks @CHRISTY-DANIELLE! I really like it. Antique 18k yellow bands with details like this are hard to find I’ve discovered. It would be pretty loose, but if I were stacking...hmm...decisions, decisions...lol.

You could have a couple sizing beads added to make it fit better, a quick inexpensive fix. I had sizing beads added to an antique ring and its comfortable and effective .

Wow that engraving is gorgeous!

Thank you @CHRISTY-DANIELLE. I’m still mulling over my options. I’ve added this to my list of possibilities! Such nice details in this band.
