I love that stone. I actually recommended it to someone else recently. So your lucky! ;)


These purchases are stressful sense they mean a whole lot (and cost a whole lot too!)

plus, compared to AVCs, it looks very very similar, bit without the price tag of a branded cut.

Great color too!
 
I'm kind of surprised that there are not more flashes coming out of the Center.

Edit...I just compared the video to an AVC video and it pretty much seemsto be acting the same as an AVC so its probably fine. I wish they had videoed it next to an AVC so we could see the difference.

My suspicion is that those inner facets are just so big the slight movement of the lighting in those videos just don't capture the flashes like you would see in RL...


because I so see what you mean in this vid, but I see it in AVCs as you do, too

Don't get down! Its a really really beautiful stone. I think these are one of the stones cut to be, but didn't make their really strict standards to be an avc, so it doesn't get that brand. Think of it like a hearts and arrows stone vs a AGS 000 stone. Both perform beautifully and hard to see the difference between with the naked eye, but one just didn't for the specific criteria to get branded.


Plus you get a beautiful stone without paying that branded price. ;)

This premium is far superior in my eyes.

Yes this stone is really great. It would be hard to find a better stone without paying branded pricing. And even then, its not too far behind.


Was that you?! I thought it was but I went to find that thread and I couldn't find it. I'm glad somebody is getting it. Its a pretty great buy I think!


Are you set with that Beverly k setting? Have you looked at some Gabriel and co ones? I like that bev k one from the top but I think Gabriel and co might have some ones with prettier side profile views.


But that's partially personal preference :)) either will be lovely.
 
Def like the first one the most, I just emailed GOG about it. Hopefully they'll comeback that it can be bezeled with a slightly lower profile :)
The more I compare this to the Beverly K, the more I lean towards the G&co.
I'll keep you updated.

Thanks everyone! I bought the G&co and it was actually $700 cheaper! But I also have to pay for it to get bezeled but still, I saved $400 on a better looking setting haha

I'll be sure to get some great shots with my DSLR when I get this baby in.

Oh awesome. I LOVE LOVE a bezel halo. Used to have one myself. This is going to be one stunner when its finished. Cannot wait. Are they migraining the bezel too? If you haven't asked I would. Just to make sure.
