I saw the article headline and clicked through.

I'm pretty sure all they did was lighten up the image a little.

Yup. Without all that retouching, those women are just regular folks.

Yup - I've seen modeling shoots IRL and most of those girls have crazy awesome skin and hair naturally. However, what you don't understand is the scale of how small the girls are. The camera really does add weight and makes them look more shapely than they are. The one girl I saw looked like the girl in this picture but with bigger boobs (in the resulting pics). However, IRL she was very, very thin and her boobs were maybe a b cup.

I just keeping telling myself that at least I got an education and can make a living without relying on my looks and sexuality!

Fat? Rolls? Skin perhaps.... She looks normal. To me.

Take one beautiful woman and photoshop the hell out of her picture.
Bigger breasts, thinner thighs, golden skin, no freckles on breast or tummy, no scars or shadows on legs, no vein on tummy, no skin rolls on side, no back/side spillage near breast, redone belly button, redone armpit, overall highlighting of muscles, removed knickers.

I can agree with shopping out the knickers, they have to wear them for hygiene reasons. But the rest ...
For goodness sake, this woman has great genetics plus probably eats well and exercises all day. Why take that dedication, hard work, and good luck; and make it fake? Such perfect beauty truly is impossible.

I saw Adriana Lima at the airport years ago.... she had a beautiful flawless face, I think she's gorgeous. But she was even smaller than I imagined. Like SO small. Her hips were pretty much non existent.

The undies aren't worn for hygiene reasons. I doubt if VS will miss a bikini that cost them $2 to manufacture. They are for the model's comfort so she isn't totally nude while changing outfits on the shoot, I believe. When I've been involved in fashion shows all the girls wear a nude thong and this serves as their undergarment for "modesty" and is something that will go virtually undetected under most clothing.

I didn't noticed the skin folds until VRBeauty mentioned it. I am pretty sure that's just how our skin folds when we are in that pose, not fat. But they also smoothed out her stomach area, make her look less lean or less abs definition???

ETA: Wow. She had a baby. She looks amazing.

I think people just need to realize that there's always going to be someone younger, in better shape, better looking, smarter, etc. than them, and that's OKAY.

So 99% of us will never be a Victoria's secret model-so what? No level of photo shopping changes how little I care that I won't be gracing the pages of a VS catalog.

Even the seams and wrinkles in the bathing suit were "adjusted". I thought she looked perfectly fine before.
