So I have upgraded my diamond through BGD and Lesley is sending my diamond onto Victor tomorrow YA!!!. At this stage I have been dealing with Victor's sales manager whom is lovely and very prompt with replies. But just wondering when do I actually talk(email) with Victor directly? Maybe Im jumping the gun a little and once my diamond is received Victor will be in contact with me. But do I actually pay the deposit prior to hearing from Victor himself first or what? Im just a little confused because everyone hear talks about speaking with Victor, some even before there diamond ect has been sent to him. So Im just a little curious how it all works, before making an idiot of myself. Probably making it seem like a bigger deal than it really is but Im just impatient

Just ask if you can talk to Victor. I'm sure he'll make time for you. When I had my ering reset, I don't think Victor had a sales manager so he was doing all the correspondence with customers.

Hi,
I am actually going through the process with VC right now. I had my diamond shipped to VC, I told them what style I wanted, paid in full and then they wrote up a work order, which I signed. All throughout that process, I had been emailing with Paige only, who is super prompt and professional.

I felt a little weird about not having spoken with Victor and not having discussed any details about my ring, so I called and told Paige I had design questions. She put Victor on the phone immediately and he was super nice. Since I had chosen a ring design that had already been done before (the Anne Marie), there really was no consultation. Victor basically said that he would proportion the halo size, shank size, melee size, etc in a way that was most flattering to my diamond. I think if I had wanted modifications to the design, there would have been more consultation involved. When I read here on PS about all of the folks to talked with Victor about the how many millimeters high their diamond was set, or what size pointers were used, they may have been creating a unique style from scratch with Victor. (I'm guessing...).

I was a little surprised about the simplicity of the process - basically you pay them and then wait - but I have also heard that it is best to let Victor do his thing and trust that it will be incredible.

Today was 1 week + 1 day since I signed the work order, so I emailed Paige asking how it is going and if there were any photos she could share. Unfortunately, she said they do not share progress photos due to trade reasons. I asked what the next step is and she said that she'll let me know when the ring is ready to be shipped out! As I'm sure you can imagine, it is hard to just sit back and wait for weeks with no idea of how things are going... If it weren't for all of the amazing VC experiences described here on PS, I would feel a little uneasy about the process. But I am sure all will be fine and I just need to be patient. It's just soooo exciting!

What ring style are you getting? How long of a wait time did they quote you?

Thanks you both and Vorky you do put my mind at ease. Although as I said Paige has been really lovely and always very quick to answer. I just was a little unsure because of all the experiences I have read on here, and PS is the reason why I wanted so badly to have my setting made by Victor also. The Anne Marie is a gorgeous choice, it was actually one of the first I fell in love with, however for myself I am going for the double row emilya halo in the cushion shape. I suppose there isn't really a lot I am wanting to change from the example I have advised Paige of so I doubt I would have much communication with Victor anyway. I'd imagine he has gotten a lot more busy these days and people can put so much trust in him to now what looks beautiful in one of his more popular styles.

Well I hope you get your ring soon and I will definitely be on the lookout for your pics. :D

Victor is a lovely guy and his pave work is magnificent, you are in good hands, you need to outline what you want that is all and allow him to work his magic.

Thank you arkieb1. I have been in contact with Victor, he is extremely quick to reply and answers everything in detail. I know I am in great hands and I cant wait to have that ring on my finger. I am so excited, I haven't seen my new upgraded diamond yet either so it will be a long, anxious wait for me haha Everyone is right though Victor is lovely and Im so happy to be able to have him do my setting. :appl:

Happy waiting PaulaV. I am currently working with Victor and I second that he - besides from being very talented - is a very responsive and kind person. When I first worked with him I don't think he had a sales manager. Especially since it's a design he has done before, there are no worries in this process, except the waiting :D

I love Victor's pave from the examples I've seen here on PS. I have the Sophia from Victor and currently he is making a solitaire for me.

Paulav - be sure to post pics when your project is done! Enjoy - I am sure it will be amazing.

Hmmm..... :naughty: Can't wait to hear about this!

I'll just second the sentiment that there is no need for checking on progress. I'd call when the time frame is up for completion if you haven't heard from them, but that's about it!

Great design choice! But then again I'm biased. Hope you love the finished product! Victor's work is top quality.

Thanks again ladies. I think I was just a little over anxious, I have complete and full trust in Victor, in fact I upgraded only 6 months after purchasing my first diamond because I could not get his halo's out of my head

Acinom I will be waiting a while but atleast it is a happy wait knowing whats coming. Your big beautiful Sophia is yet another stunning design that I drool over, I can not wait to see what else you have coming.

Thanks Vorky I certainly will and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous AM also.

Anne h the orginal Anne Marie...Iove your ring, actually have it saved as I am thinking of the AM for a project a few years down the track :naughty:
