Its been a couple of weeks since I've had it, and my skin looks great. I never "minded" my acne much, until I saw recently noticed some scarring; I think that was my tipping point. I went out to Sephora and bought Clarisonic, and my skin has cleared up significantly. Nothing..I repeat, nothing, has ever worked so well for me! A big, sincere thank you!!
 
Indy, I'm so glad it's working for you too. I fine that I get the best results if I use it twice a day, but sometimes I skip using it at night & just wash my face with soap. If I use it twice a day, though, my skin looks poreless. I agree that it's the best investment for acne-prone skin.
 
Happy to hear someone else loves the Clarisonic! Mine has improved my skin so much. What kind of cleanser are you using with it? I like Cetaphil and Philosophy Purity Made Simple.
 
Kitty, I just bought a bottle of Cetaphil but I haven't started using it. I'm glad to hear that you like it! I've been using the Murad line from Sephora, but I'm phasing it out and moving to Cetaphil and Mederma to get rid of my acne spots. Murad isn't bad, but it isn't "great" either.

Does Cetaphil last a while, or run out quickly? I'm totally confused by the huge bottles that it comes in. I do love that it comes with a pump. I used to have an Origins microderm scrub that came in a tub, and you had to dip your fingers in every time to use it.
 
I'm planning on buying one of these ASAP. Are there different models? I saw ones in Nordstroms and I've seen them online with coupons but I want to make sure I'm getting the right one. Any information appreciated. I hate my skin.

Why? I remember looking at your wedding photos and thinking that your skin looked lovely. I realize that we can't walk around looking like that all the time, but...??? :confused:
 
I just got the Mia this week! I love it! So happy to see a thread on it! I had little calcium bumps beside my nose (hard white bumps that looked like whiteheads but weren't) that have been there for close to a year. One of them is gone and the other is on it's way! I love the way my skin feels even though I believe in in the purging stage right now (suddenly broken out in small pimple like bumps). The only complaint i have is that (I know this sounds weird) is that my face feels so smooth that my makeup is sliding right off my face. Its not just the summer heat because I've only had this a week and being from florida it's been gross hot out for months. Anybody else experience this?
 
I love my Mia! It didn't revolutionize my skin the way it seems to for some people, but in combination with stuff from my dermatologist, my skin is getting WAY better. I will say the texture of my skin has changed in amazing ways - it's so smooth now!

Ahh the wonders of airbrushed makeup. LOL. I have never had my skin look so good, it's amazing what a good makeup artist can do! But thank you Isaku! Honestly, in the last two years (OMG been two years since the wedding!) my skin has gone down hill. I'm losing ... I don't know what it's called but whatever it is that allowed my skin to bounce back and not wrinkle is GONE. I've hit 35 and my skin is just... not hydrated, bumpy and scaring easily and not good.

What is a MIA?
 
Gypsy, the Mia is the smaller version of the Clarisonic. Like the travel size version.
 
I bought one too after seeing your recommendation! I have really fine sensitive skin and my husband has very oily skin with large pores and it has worked well for both of us! For me it has helped keep any break outs from happening since it remove make-up so well and for him it has helped his pores and the appearance of his skin quite a bit. We bought the Clarisonic Plus with the body scrubber which is nice to exfoliate with. We got it on spalook.com for 20% off. Well worth it!
 
How does this work with "more mature" skin?
 
Hey I'd love some more info about the Clarisonic - really interested in buying one for myself. Is there any reason to buy the mid-sized one rather than the Mia? I'd like to use it on my chest as well as my face, but surely I can do that with the small sized one? There must be a reason there are three different sized machines...

Any advice?
 
I'm thinking of buying one of these after all these reviews! My skin is fine, I don't often get breakouts, but it can be annoyingly combination (dry/oily), I am very prone to blackheads (especially on my nose) and I have large pores. The Clarisonic sounds tailor made for me...and almost too good to be true! Is everyone still happy with theirs?
 
the clarisonic didn't really work for me.... i used it for about a month, it made me break out and i stopped using it. how long did it take you guys to see any results? Maybe I'll give it another shot.
 
Hey guys, I'm glad that it worked for so many of you. I bought the Mia, and I'm still really liking it. For the summer when my skin usually gets worse I bought a different head (I think it's called "normal" but it's stiffer brushes than the one it comes with, which I think is "sensitive.") I feel like that helped prevent the humidity breakouts I get in the summer.

I have never tried the original version, only the MIa, but if I knew that I'd be using it as much as I did I probably would have bought the original version, with the stand, and two speeds. It would have been nice to have the stand for my vanity to drain the brush & keep it clean, and it may have been nice to have a faster speed to use on blackhead-prone areas like my nose. But, overall, I still love the Mia & it's the best skincare product I've ever used.

I do find that I have to use it twice a day to get the best results. Sometimes when I'm feeling lazy at night I'll just wash my face with my Clinique Liquid Facial Soap instead of using the Clarisonic as well, and I find then that my pores don't feel as clean in the morning (I do use it every morning in the shower though). It's actually probably more important to use it at night to get all the makeup out of my pores.

If anyone is interested in another recommendation, I just tried a new product that I LOVE. I have never before found a treatment serum that I like, and I've tried everything from Skinceuticals to Kinerase to Olay. However, I recently tried Clinique's new serum - it's called "Repairwear Laser Focus" for wrinkles and UV damage. It has made a dramatic difference in my skin, yet it's also very gentle.

I don't raelly have any wrinkles, but I am sensitive, oily, acne prone, with blackheads, and sun spots/UV damage. This formula contains peptides and a form of retinol, and has been fantastic. My pores are smaller, I have no blackheads, and more importanly, my sun spots are fading! I previously tried the Clinique Even Better Clinical Skin Tone Corrector which is supposed to fade sun spots, and it did nothing. This Repairwear Laser Focus actually works for me.

The other reason that I like it is because most of the other serums that I've tried (including all from Clinique) have that thick siliconey texture, similar to Estee Lauder Idealist, and that always breaks me out. This serum is more of a cloudy liquid, and comes with a dropper - it's very light & sinks right in. It honestly reminds me a lot of Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair, except the results have been better for me & it's a lot less expensive.

Anyway, just another shout-out for a product that I like. I'm glad that most of you like your Clarisonics!
 
I have always wanted to get a Clairsonic, but have read reviews that its damaging to the skin??? :confused:

So, I stayed away from it thinking that it might be too rough and do more harm than good. But, it appears that many of you are very happy with your Clairsonic and have convinced me to at least give it a try.

I am a bit confused as to weather I should purchase the Mia that several of you have mentioned or the regular size??
 
They sell them on QVC too and I have always debated on getting one. Are they easy to clean? No mildew or anything like that in the brush right? I've always been worried about that. I use Purity Made Simple and love it but I think this would really help my skin if I use the clarisonic with the cleanser. I have oily, acne prone skin. I hate it. eh.
 
I love mine. I have combo/oily acne-prone skin and my pores get clogged easily, so using this twice a day keeps my skin pretty smooth. I have the Mia and I use the sensitive brush, though it needs to be changed. This thread is a good reminder to order a new one!
 
Lizzy, I think Kittybean uses the same combo! Mine has gotten mildew underneath the brush-head where it attaches to the body. I just take it apart once every few days and leave the parts out to dry.

Proactiv's Step 3 Repairing Lotion- effective and doesn't dry my skin out

Mederma- for acne scars, effective, but but be prepared to use it for a while before you see results.
