Hello,

Any recommendations on where to find an extremely extremely thin dainty micro pave engagement ring? I fell in love with two at Michael C Fina but haven''t found any others anywhere. Basically a very plain thin micro pave band with a round diamond is what I am looking for. The 2 I liked were a Michael C Fina brand (pic attached) and the other by Samuel Jewels. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I live in NYC.

Thanks for all the help!

I''m in NYC as well and there are plenty of jewelers that can help you make a similar setting. However, most won''t make settings under 2mm because it can compromise the stability of the ring. Yes, you can build it up vertically however adding pave to that becomes a challenge. I''m not sure if MCF will let you set your own stone however we did look there. I have a Tacori setting and found it at another local jeweler for cheaper.

So, Leon Mege and Mark at Engagement rings direct do great custom work in NYC.

I am a bit concerned about the thinness but really really love the way it looks! I will have to measure the thickness of that one to post.

Hi! I just have been searching for the same exact thing. That setting from Michael C Fina was modeled after the vera wang micropave setting. I got to see both and they are extremely beautiful

What size diamond are you looking at getting??

PS, I have some information that may be useful if you are interested in getting the vera wang piece.

The guy at MCF said the same thing... modeled after the Vera Wang one but this one was redesigned to be a bit more durable... not sure if that was true or not :)

But I really haven''t seen anything like it anywhere. I''m concerned because of the delicate nature of the setting if I had it custom made somewhere the quality might be compromised. Thoughts?

Oh sorry, forgot to answer your other question... 1.25-1.5ish round

I''d love more info on the other ring if you have it. Thanks!

I was set on an antique art deco setting for my engagement ring until I came across a very thin micro pave halo ring that was perfect on my tiny (sz 3.5) fingers. Now I''m pretty much set on that ring or something similar. I found it at EB Horn in the Boston jewelry district. They have a website but they have many more designs in store.

I''m not sure how interested you are in a halo setting but here''s a link to a page from the catalog which shows the settings (I and J) similar to what I saw in store. I was told the setting in WG was ~$1k and <$2k in platinum.

I remember that the ring was extremely thin and delicate. The store assistant (Paul) was extremely helpful and wrote it down as "Micro Pave Halo Like MDX 2019" for me.

Good luck with your search! I would really appreciate it if you could come back with other similar settings that you come across since i''m looking for something really similar!
