Hello All,

I am trying to choose between 2 diamonds that are nearly identical from what I can tell. Can any of you gleam anything interesting from the GIA reports? I will choose the best of the two for the big ring. I will try to upload the certs but here are the numbers just in case. These can be looked up here: http://www.gia.edu/reportcheck/

GIA Cert 1149557202 (2.01 ct) and 2146651815 (2.02 ct)

Thanks,

Donnie

They are same color, cut, clarity, and both 3 EX, but I don't like the diamond of strong fluorescence, I prefer the bigger one(2146651815)

all things equal, i would choose the first one for its slightly better spread.

Both stones so Similar, I think If I were you I would check on following options:

1) If I have option, I would see it in person or if buying online, I would ask for professional gemologist help,
in online stores they have in house gemologist who could look at the stone together and suggest which one has better
performance.
2) I would request for the Images of the stone if possible.
3) These days many online stores are giving free return shipping, if possible buy both the stones, see it in person
which one looks the best, keep the one you like and return the other one, without actually paying for return shipping,
this way you have seen both the stones and selected the one you like the most.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will purchase both and then choose the best one with my appraiser. I have a feeling that it will come down to which one has the best fluorescence reaction.
