I''m a long time lurker and wanted to say how much I appreciate the input and advice of everyone here-- I finally started to make my first custom purchase (of many I am sure lol)
I won''t get it for a few months as it''s a special present for my birthday but it will take a while to pick out the stones I want anyway. It''ll be a 6.5" tennis bracelet made with, F-G and ideal cut. A little over 7 ctw. I initially wanted something a little smaller but then decided this is something I will have forever so it''s worth the splurge! Clarity will be SI1 but in stones that size, I don''t think it matter much
It will be made with the hand assembled setting, which after much research is the one I decided to go with because it was secure (modified four prong setting) but showed very little metal. It was a little pricier than other settings and only available in 18kt gold, not platinum but I liked the look of it the best. I think it is the same setting as cflutist has. I almost got the Tiffany esque clasp with the four marquise diamonds, but decided against it since Wink said I would hate it because it would catch on things.
I also liked taking to Wink, and his communication has been nothing short of excellent. I''ve found him to be forthright, honest, and very realistic. Now I just have to see how my bracelet turns out, but I am positive that all will go well!
I did look at Whiteflash''s bracelet''s as well but wanted much less metal to show. I will say that they have excellent customer service and were very quick to reply. Since I didn''t end up ordering from them I can''t say much else. If anyone else has had a tennis bracelet made by Wink I would love to hear your feedback!
