Hello Pricescope World!

I''ve been trolling and net-searching for quite some time now and the only thing I''m certain of is that the more I know, the less I understand.

::end rant::

I am looking for the best diamond that''s over 1 carat in the Round/Hearts & Arrows style with excellent cut. Other than that, it just has to look great upon eye inspection (S1 to VS2). Not overly concerned with color as long as it passes the "eye test," although I''d probably go "I" or better.

I have my eye on these two:

A: http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-636622.htm
B: http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-471557.htm

Also looking for a setting most exact to the "Tiffany Setting". I would like to stay below $8K and prefer purchasing from whiteflash. [Note]: Not overly impressed with whiteflash''s interpretation of the "Tiffany Setting"

Thoughts?

Julie: Absolutely stunning! It just might be what I''m looking for. I''d have to say, if I were purchasing today, I''d be inclined to go with your recommendation [Sidenote]: My soon-to-be is "Julie" as well! How ironic...

Wow, to go from "not overly impressed" to "absolutely stunning" is quite a big difference.

I have been trolling for a bit and it appears I''m one of 389247392478934732 guys that want the Tiffany setting without the Tiffany pricetag. Some of the "Tiffany" settings sit too high to be practical. Some of them are too thin at the top and seem fragile. On top of that, I liked how the knife edge gave some shape, but felt the knife edge would "dull out" over time from normal wear and tear. In my experience, most of the "Tiffany" look-alikes don''t stay true enough to the icon they are supposedly modeled on.

Two lovely choices, just check that they are eyeclean, but you could pick either and be delighted.

The link that Julie posted is the same setting as my ering made by Whiteflash.

It is called the Classic Tiff Style Knife Edge setting , however I simply asked to have a half rounded band instead of the knife edge. The setting looks much more delicate in real life however, it''s hard to get a good idea from magnified pictures like that. Here is the link to the setting from WF.

Lorelei: Your opinion is highly regarded. Having your stamp of approval is very reassuring.
