Very Confused About Stand-Alone Insurance-- Help!

Hey guys,

I just bought a ring from Tiffany's for just under 10K. I currently have it insured as a rider to my home insurance. However, my girlfriend lives in another state (we're doing long-distance) and I was told that once I hand the ring over to her, I will have to get a new policy. My girlfriend rents--- I'm not entirely sure if she has renter's insurance -- either way, I'd like to insure it without her knowing. Can someone recommend the best stand alone insurance? I've been looking through the threads but just not sure-- Chubb? Jeweler's Mutual?

You'll have to do Jeweler's Mutual because Chubb doesn't do stand alone anymore. The tricky part is going to be putting it in her name because even if you do it online and give her address, etc., confirmation mail will go to her at her address. So I really think you can't do it until the day you plan to propose or the day after.
