Hi everyone!

I''m going to be looking for a long (below fingertip length and probably down to chapel length) single layer, ivory veil made of very fine, soft netting with minimal edging. I like a style that kind of cascades not around the face but around the body a little, but maybe they all do this.

The bridal salon where i bought my dress had one that was PERFECT, but also in the $400 range.

Does anyone know of any nice upscale websites that sell custom veils that might be less $$? Or just nice veils in general? Everything I''ve found through google looks kind of crummy...

I''m happy to spend a couple of hundred bucks, but not over $300

am i being unrealistic?

any tips?

I would look at www.occanseydesigns.com She makes beautiful veils, and can do anything you want. I plan to buy my veil from her. I bet you would pay about 100-150 for what you want. Beautiful dress by the way!

My veil is very different from what you want (a french net birdcage veil), but I worked with an amazing woman online. She makes all of her veils custom. I would look into getting a quote from her.

One I love is saragabriel.com

She makes gorgeous stuff!

katrina,

I ordered from ebay, from bellabridal veils. I also looked @ veils by lana, valuveil (they only have 54" widths though) veils by elena and others. Pretty much everyone I emailed about getting a custom veil was very nice, I chose bellabridal because they had the best price and responded quickly.

Price for a 72" wide 30/90 chapel length with blusher, pencil edged and with scattered pearls, separate pieces detachable from comb was $33! It may not be the finest material in the whole world but the pictures she showed seemed like it would lay nicely, and for something I''m only going to wear for a few hours at most, I think it is definitely worth the $

Good luck!

Your future veil sounds similar to mine. I got an invory single layer chapel length veil with pencil edging on ebay for $20, and my aunt did not believe me when I told her. The ebay store is veilboutique. I received it within a week and it wasn''t even wrinkled.

I used OccanseyDesigns and was very pleased. My veil was perfect and she was super quick to respond to my emails. I didn''t decide until the Friday before my bridal portraits (on the following Thursday) that I wanted a veil. I emailed Occansey about a rush order and she was so accomodating (didn''t even charge extra). I highly recommend using her.

I know a lot of people have had good success with Veilshop- I think the wesite is www.veilshop.com.
Good luck!

I got my veil off of ebay, so look there cause you never know what your may find. Good luck.

If you''re looking for silk tulle, you''re going to pay about $250-300 for a chapel length veil with a blusher, a bit less without. If you want more poof, then definitely go with Illusion Tulle. I want a moredraped look so I am going with silk tulle but I think both look amazing.
