VC Donna Split Shank

VC is making me a Donna Split Shank. He has been brilliant to work with and I think he is almost done with the ring, way faster than he had committed. I did give him some details and told him to make the ring as he feels best, saying that I have questioned him what is width of the shank and halo along with melee details on couple occasions and he has not responded to it. I am wondering what is the reason he has not replied to those queries, I do assume it is perfectly normal to ask for such details. Any input would be appreciated.

For the record been a pleasure to work with him and not seen the ring yet but I am sure it will be good.

I am not worried about it at all. I know he does an amazing job. Like I said been amazing communication with him and easy as hell. Guess I am just nosy and want to know the details.

I noticed that as well when he made my ring: he does not react on a specific topic when you start asking very detailed questions or when you try to micromanage him. But you can 300% trust him to do a great job. He is very skillful in making micropave rings and has a great eye for detail. I cannot wait to see your ring. It will be stunning!

Do not doubt him or worried at all and not trying to micromanage him. The wait makes questions pop in the mind. I cannot wait either and guess after I get it have to let it stay put as have not yet planned on a proposal.

the shank looks different than the donna split on website? was this requested? I thought i wanted anne marie with double shank, but this is EXACLTY what i want. where did you get photo from if you don't mind my asking so i can give this to vc

LLJsmom - I need to create a thread for the entire journey but i have no updates after getting the ring, had an emergency with my mum being in the hospital so rather busy with that and not proposed yet or taken any pictures.

Wendylynne - I had given VC an inspirational picture and then spoke to him about what I wanted changed, like the shank split etc and I left the rest entirely to him to create. We used the Donna Split as a reference point. This is the picture of the ring he made for me and you can absolutely use it to give it to him to follow if this is what you want, you can tell him the ring he made for MT if you need a reference though I would believe the picture will suffice.
