I have seen quite a few topics on Vatche e-ring settings. I saw a couple at the jewelry store I went to, and fell in love with one of them. It is quite pricey, but I am willing to pay it.

What is Vatche''s reputation? Is it worth the money? Has anyone had any problems? I know he makes settings for Tiffany''s also...

Vatche has a very good reputation for making a quality product.

At one time it was *rumored* they made a setting for tiffany''s but that has since been proven untrue..

whoa, whoa, whoa...that was a rumor? i was told that it was very, very true. am i being scammed? do we have any proof online that is true/untrue?

They make quality settings. I haven''t heard of any problems, and I haven''t had any with mine.

I think their line would be a good choice. Which one is it, if you don''t mind my asking?

If they make settings for Tiffany’s then that should already tell you that there reputation in quality is great. Lesson in life is that anything can give you problem. The solution is that you have somewhere to turn to in the event of one of which Vatche does. And you are the boss of what you can afford to buy or not. If you truly love the setting and that will make you happy and satisfied then it is worth every penny.

D. Vatche makes a very nice ring and they stand by their product with a lifetime warranty. If it is any indication, my fiance selected a D. Vatche setting for her Asscher cut diamond, it goes without saying that she had her choice of whatever designer line we carried, or custom design that she wanted, she chose the D. Vatche surprise setting (style #150) modified to accomodate the Asscher cut diamond and she switched out the small diamond accents located within the head structure with medium electric blue sapphires.

Valerie selected a wedding band from D. Vatche which has scattered offset diamonds flush set into it and wears the band most of the time even though we''re not married yet... She''s pretty hard on her jewelry and has knocked a diamond out of the wedding band twice - it might be due to her tendancy to tap on things, awhile ago I caught her tapping out the rhythm to a song that was playing in her head while we were walking up a staircase... Tap... Tap... Tap... On the metal of her ring... "Honey, I think I might know what is causing you to lose diamonds out of your wedding band..." "Oh!"

Those would be diamonds lost due to percussion - literally. Anyway, we were fortunate enough to be able to find the diamonds both times because they fell out in the ultrasonic both times. D. Vatche has repaired the ring both times without charge.

i wouldn''t say scammed. there are a bunch of threads on here with folks saying or speculating that Vatche makes the Lucida setting for tiffany''s. i''ve never heard them mentioned with any other setting from tiff''s though. the banter goes back and forth that if it were true, would vatche even be allowed to say it publically b/c tiffany would not want that info to get out, just like they keep the people who make the designs for them keep secret. I believe it was Nicrez (a GG that posts here) that commented that tiffany makes all of their settings and had factual info to back it up. either way, vatche makes a good product so i wouldn''t care whether or not they make the settings for tiffanys. if i have time later, i''ll try to hunt down the thread where she mentions it. Diagem may know as well and may be able to comment.

for those who bought vatche rings, did they supply a vatche box to put the ring in when they ship it back?

vatche has a great reputation and they make quality products. i think you definitely get what you pay for.

Mrs. Salvo, if you can find that thread I''d be interested in reading it. I''m interested in that rumor and her posts are always good. Thanks.

I agree with Mrs, if you like the style and finish of the vatche rings than thats all that matters! I like tiffany''s, but there are ALot of other designer settings I would buy before their stuff.

I was recently considering the X prong myself and believe it looks stunning.

No. My box came from GOG who I purchased the stone and setting through.
