Well I am in the process of getting my diamond re-mounted into the lovely ''Caroline'' setting from Vatche
the story so far is on thread below:
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/vatche-caroline-setting-re-mount-my-story-so-far.98664/

The problem is that I picked my setting up a few days ago and it had to be sent straight back to Vatche because the prongs were not symmetrical - from the side profile, the prongs on one side curved out more than the other side - which where straighter - it was a subtle thing but I saw it instantly.
Now do not get me wrong, so far Vatche have been great, fab customer service, the polish is beautiful and now the diamond is set at a lovely height. I only hope the centre-stone setter at Vatche can see the problem and it comes back absolutely perfect this time because I miss my e-ring ;-(.
Question 1: Does reworking prongs more than a couple of times make them less secure?
Question 2: Has anyone else had issues with Vatche and did they fix the problem in the end to your satisfaction?

thanks

I believe Musey had a problem with her prongs and they made her an entirely new head. I''ve always seen them making it right if something happens...

I lost a tiny melee stone the second day of wearing.

Wink is more than happy to have it replaced, I''ve just been lazy about sending it back.

These things happen, though it''s not fun when it happens in the first week.

The only problems I''ve had have been with local Vatche retailers--everything through the Vatche workshop (or whatever it is) has been nothing but stellar. I''m not an expert, I suppose, but I think the quality of my setting is impeccable.

When they remade my ring''s head, it was because I''d sent it in for a very basic repair and they felt they couldn''t maintain top quality on the repair without remaking the head. So they did. Free of charge

Hey Musey
glad to hear you regard Vatche so highly. So far I have nothing but good things to say about them also. The gentleman I have been dealing with at Vatche, Chris, has been great. I guess I am surprised that the setting got through quality control but I realize that these things happen and sometimes things are missed.
I am expecting an email from Vatche today, Chris said he would be speaking with the center stone setter yesterday. I am soo looking forward to finally having my solitaire back!
