Hey everyone, hopefully there are about British Columbians out there on the Pricescope forums! I''m looking for an engagement ring, and I wanted to know what are the best places to research for a ring in the 604? I was looking at Tiffany, but I think I would rather get a bigger, higher quality rock for the price of a Tiffany ring.

If you''re in Vancouver, I would really appreciate any advice you could give me. Thanks in advance!!! :)

Hi and welcome!

I''m in Vancouver so I''ll try and help. If you want something bigger and of great cut and quality why don''t you try White Flash. I looked at Tiffany and Birks and found that the prices were incredibly high and I''m a student so I started shopping around and found PS and the rest is history.
I found WF and looked at several stones found one I liked and then picked a setting also from WF and wired them the money and you can get a discount if you wire and are a PS member.

I think I ordered my ring mid-March and I know I picked it up before my b''day which was the 23rd so it was quite fast and the quality was more than I could have hoped for.
I can post some pics if you like but lots of ppl on here got their rings from WF and they are awesome.
There are other really good vendors on PS too that you can check out but honestly I''d say buy from a PS vendor and stay away from the mall stores. Pls stay away from People''s and Ben Moss and stuff like that they just don''t have the quality and the prices are a rip off .

I love my ring. I get compliments on how sparkly it is all the time. It is so well made and the customer service at WF is second to none. I dealt with Katie she is a doll, why don''t you call them and chat with her and get the process going a bit that''s what I did, call some of the other vendors too and then go from there.

I hope that helps if have any questions at all pls ask I''ll try my best to answer and there are tons of super nice knowledgeable experts on PS who will totally help you, you came to the right place.
Happy shopping!

Hi,
I am also in the lower mainland... I have a friend that got the tiffany legacy made by a local company. I think they did an amazing job and were really helpful as well as economical. The only thing is that they do not have a ''real'' office as manufacturing is done on site and due to their insurance policy, they are not allowed to have customers come to their location. This made me quite hesitant at first, but after meeting with them a few times, we were put completely at ease. Their website is under construction, but their contact info is still on it. It is www.kohinoorandco.com and the person I dealt with was Preet. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any more info.

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies! :)

Right now, I just seem a bit uneasy about buying online. With WhiteFlash, how can you buy something without seeing it first? Right now, I am considering something from http://www.canadian-diamonds-wholesale.com/ ...does anyone have experience with Ronald Davidson and his designs/craftsmanship?

I have spoken to Jeff there. He was extremely helpful! I think you can even go visit their store? I am in SK, so I have no way of getting there

They seem to be good to deal with. They answered a lot of questions and were very patient. Unfortunately for me, they are too busy to look at repairing my ring, but could do an exact replica for me, for just about half of what Birks wanted for the same setting. Which setting are you considering going with?

HI:

Go in and see Davidson in person--ask to see some his award winning designs and ask for references. I think he publishes diamonds lists on his website--hence "specific" diamond choices would have to be brought in for you to see anyway. How much he has "in house" is anyone's guess.

cheers--Sharon

1- How about the crafstmanship of Canadiandiamonds.com?
2- What and how is the after-sale service?
3- Their warranty and so on?

Please share your experiences if you dealt with them?
Thanks

H.

Hey everyone, thanks for your help in my diamond search. I was referred to Diamonds Direct in Vancouver...has anyone had any experiences with them?

Also, what about buying a ring from Brinkhaus?

Your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks again.

HI:

I have bought several watches from Brinkhaus in Calgary (same family business), and I love their service. They also have an extensive diamond inventory--and wonderful jewellery designs. Tons of eye candy when you go to shop.

cheers--Canuk-gal
