Valerie Harper, TV’s sassy, lovable Rhoda, dies at 80
I used to watch The Mary Tyler-Moore show and I loved her character Rhoda! She was smart, funny, sassy, beautiful but self deprecating and told it like it was. What a role model she was in the ‘70s. Rest in peace Valerie.

I loved Valerie Harper. I grew up watching Mary Tyler Moore and she was one of my favorites on the show. And of course I also watched the TV show Rhoda.

She had cancer for a long while and she had such a positive and upbeat attitude. I admired how brave she was...she was a strong woman and a wonderful role model. RIP Valerie Harper.

She really lived quite a long time after such a devastating diagnosis. 80 is not a bad lifespan all things considered. Rest in peace.
