Just came across this - though it might be interesting:

Diamond (natural and human grown) has been used in all of these scenarios for quite some time.
For example, the electrically conductive properties of Type IIb and heat dissipation of diamond (better than copper) make diamond very attractive for micro-conductors and thermal management in electronics and electrical engineering aspects.
This is probably an aged list, since they state LGD is 30% lower than natural :)

LGD's would be great incorporated into Range/Fryer/Oven Hood grease filters @ commercial kitchen ventilation systems.

Or if you get them to float ~ oil spills

#1 use someday, cell phone camera lens.

Diamonds are used for mechanical grinding, including huge tunnelling machines as far as I am aware.

I was led to believe the growth of LGD was largely driven by the need for industrial applications not to rely on natural earth-mined diamonds.

However, I could be wrong.

DK :))

10000% correct. GE first synthesized diamonds in the early 1950’s to create drill bits. This hastened post war industrial growth in the US
Now every cell phone and computer has a tiny diamond mounted to act as a heat sink for the processor. Diamonds have changed all our lives.

GE and ASEA both used HPHT at about the same time.
Many people think ASEA got there first but kept it a secret.
GE did better PR!
(the ghost of TE?)

I hoped I was not the only observer.
Try 150th the price for 3ct F VS1

Unless they are talking about drill-bit quality natural vs drill-bit quality LGD strictly for industrial purposes. I'd imagine that the prices are already rather rock bottom for diamonds of either origin fitting that usage category.

Natural are going to Jump thx Trump

For that to happen, demand would need to remain strong ( or get strong).
People need to sell.
If the economy picks up, we’ll all see demand.
If the economic conditions worsen, clearly that’s going to affect demand.
Who knows what’s going to happen
