$US 15,000 to spend on stone at GOG

hey everyone...thanks for all your helpful advice...

i am looking at purchasing a round diamond from GOG...i have US$16,000 to spend...

my desired specs are as follows...

1.7 - 2.5 ct
G - I colour
VS2 - Si2 clarity

...

what do you guys think would be the best combination for a well balanced stone i.e. size, colour, clarity...

do GoodoldGold have many stones other than their website...???

A lot of it can be sort of personal (size especially). Many find something in the G-H, VS2-SI1 range a sweet spot. However, other options could be just as nice, and at that size, availability can play a role also. There are not as many larger diamonds being cut at the moment. If you shoot for just under 2 cts., that will help keep the price down, but those are somewhat hard to come by. That's a very respectable size though.

If you don't see what you want, yes, give them a call and see what else they can get you. They have several suppliers!
