Hi Neil , Thank you , but daft question , even though it is bigger in carrat size its mm size is similar or at least to a novice ...what would be the advantage of buying this diamond over the E GIA number 3 diamond , i know its slighty bigger but it is a I for colour

If i was to see these two diamonds side by side , the number 3 from my Asets and the brian diamond , would i be able to tell the difference in size.

The GIA diamond number 3 - E is 1340 usd by the way .

that I is 14% larger face up size than the E. For me, as princess face up small, every bit of size helps.

if you think color is more important, that's of course fine, but an I will be very white at that size.

Just another option for you...

This is sooo difficult , i wish i could see all these diamonds in person !!

I get what your saying size wise ..... i'm feeling the pressure !!!!

Anything in the 2000 usd range that will make much of a difference ? the big kicker for me is i also have to pay 20 % VAT tax on the price of the stone as soon as it hits the UK !!

I pick 3 as well, but it looks like your choice is made. ;)

Congratulations!

By the way, should you ever need to do this again - there's a poll option, which doesn't show the poll results until after someone has answered the poll.

Here are some from James Allen. My fav is the .72 E SI2. The inclusion looks to be prongable and won't be noticed.

I believe if your budget is closer to 2k you can find a nice princess cut that faces up around 5mm x 5mm

I included some cut corned radiants that have similar faceting as princess cuts and you don't have to worry about the corners chipping like the princess cuts. I included a 1.01c K color because it was very white facing and large 5.5x5.5mm for the price. Well cut I's, J's and K's can be a great deal when looking for more stone for the money. Just another option to consider.

This info might help you with color...but a super well cut L can look brighter than an I.
