Upgrade

Hello all!
I am looking for an upgrade. From a 3.052 SI1-J ACA and I am looking for at least 4.01 to 4.60 VS2 to SI2(eye clean)-h to i color. However, when I contacted Lesley from WF about 6 months ago, she informed me that there wasn''t any in the ACA in size that I am looking for. Is there anyway that I can have a trade up with the current stone I have? Thanks!

That is the thing, waiting for an ACA in that size may take a very long time unfortunately, but not impossible! Does your new larger diamond have to be an ACA?

I was wondering if a well cut non branded diamond became available with the size and specs you wanted, if you could trade in your ACA to get it, I don't know what the trade up policy is for non branded diamonds, but it might make the hunt easier. It might be worth asking if a non branded diamond came up, if you could trade it in again if you desired. Either way this could take some time unfortunately as these sizes are rare, but you will get there in the end! What a nice project and I must say, I bet your 3ct ACA is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will need to work with WhiteFlash since that is where you will get full value for your current diamond. 4 carat stones are rare, so you may have to wait quite awhile before they could locate one or cut one. Just tell them what you want so they can be searching for you.

SLK I take it that you have actually instructed WF to be actively searching for you, or keeping you in mind in case one comes up? If you haven't already done so, then it might be an idea to do so.

SLK~your diamond, being an ACA, looks absolutely stunning--and huge--on your hand. You could upgrade and not find another stone which is as beautiful. I hope you will reconsider and keep that stone. It is TDF

Maybe I''m wrong, but I would ask Lesley if you can trade up an ACA for an ES and vice versa. I would also ask her to inform you when they have something in their inventory that fits what you are looking for. Unfortunately...you might just have to wait a while until they get something. I wouldn''t try to trade in through someone else. You might lose some of the purchase value or have to go to a place with lesser quality stones.

I''m fairly certain you can upgrade any GIA or AGS stone with Whiteflash.

Yes, I am sure she can trade in an ACA on a stone that would meet Expert Selection criteria. But would she really want to do that?

If you already have a perfect stone, I can''t see getting a lesser cut just to get more size. Truthfully, I looked back at the old thread, and the current stone looks HUGE on you! I can''t imagine one more mm in size. I can see maybe upgrading to a higher color, etc. but I just wouldn''t trade an ACA for a lesser cut if it were me.
