Hello all,

She had a 1.1ct round diamond and we are thinking about a possible upgrade.

We have found 2 stones that we are interested in,

1. 1.3ct, about 40% more $$ than the 1.1ct
2. 1.5ct, about 100% more $$ than the 1.1ct

assuming the other parameters ( cut, clarity, color ) are the same, which one would you choose?

Would you be able the notice the size difference from 1.1 to 1.3ct? ( again, assume they all face up in proportion wrt carat weight )

Thanks!

Zeiss

So many variables here, it''s hard to say with just that. But really, if you are bothering to upgrade AND can afford it, I would go with the 1.5. Not sure there is enough size difference in the 1.3 to bother.

Ditto. Assuming that the cut, clarity and color of all the stones are the same I''d have to go for the bigger size UNLESS you are upgrading color or some other aspect of the stone.

I don't know what your budget is but GOG has a H SI1 1.45ct that would give you a close enough look to a 1.5ct but without jumping into the next magic weight
