Happy 4th everyone!

I need some help. I currently have an AGS0 J Vs2 2.17 round diamond. Scored under 2 on the HCA. It is a sparkler. However for 3,000.00 and the diamond mentioned, I could upgrade to a 3.25 GIA K SI2. It is a FIC and scores 1.8 on the HCA.

The numbers:
Table 57
Depth 62
Crown36
Pav. 40.6

med- sltk girdle
very strong blue floro.

Twinning wisp and surface graining not shown

9.46x9.47x5.8

If it is eye clean what do you think?
My best friend has a 2.11 K SI2 with twinning wisp. It looks whiter than my J and I can not see the twinning wips with my naked eye. I truly can''t even find them with a loupe. However I am over 40!!!!!

Thanks for your advice!!!!!

Numbers looks good. Is that a GIA or AGS stone? Also do you have an idealscope image for that?

Hi Patty!

Could be a contender, any images such as Idealscope? The VSB fluorescence could be a nice bonus too, just check it isn't making the diamond look cloudy in some lights and that it is eyeclean to your standards.

Its GIA.

Stone cold thanks for the fast response. I wanted to know if the numbers were good. It is GIA. I can''t get any images. I have to trust my jeweler who is out of state and I can return it. Thanks again and I hope you are having a good holiday.

The numbers look fine. I''m just wondering if the diamond is at all hazy due to the graining, twining wisps, and very strong fluoro combo. Is this through a PS vendor? If not, get the stone appraised prior to upgrading.

Thanks so much for answering Lorelei- I was hoping you would. I wanted to make sure the numers look good. I have been dying to find a strong blue flor. diamond. So excited!! No images, but I can return it if it is not eyeclean to my standards. I probably wouldn''t have considered it without seeing my BF''s diamond. It is gorgeous. I can''t believe I found another FIC. I will keep you posted and thanks again!

Elle Chris it is not from a PS vendor. I will get it appraised. Thanks for your help!

Always a pleasure to see you here! I know how much you have been wanting a diamond like this and with the strong fluoro this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for! PLEASE keep us posted and I look forward to hearing what you decide!!! The appraisal is a good idea also.

Lorelei you are the sweetie. You always give me such good advice (others too of course!). I appreciate all of your help and will keep you posted. I so hope it is eye clean!!!! (fingers crossed!) Thank YOU!!!!!!!

Oops, missed that. Don''t know how though...

Did you have any settings in mind yet?
Just wondering if you''re going to try to play up the warmth- I love nice warm diamonds!- or keep it as white as possible...
How exciting- it sounds like quite an upgrade!
Can''t wait to see pictures

One-I am keeping my Michael B. lace wedding set. It is a solitare and band. Simple but beautiful and I love it. I guess I will be getting a new head for it, again!!!!!
