Upgrade 1.02 carat F VS1 (EGL)

I have a ring with two bullet baguettes F/G VS quality with a center round EGL diamond 1.02 ct F VS1 with faint blue flourescence. It''s been appraised at 12000....what do you think about possible retail value when I want to upgrade to a larger center stone?

I don''t know the answer, but when you think about the value of your ring, just keep in mind that appraisal values tend to be highly inflated...by several thousands.

I just did a search for an F, VS1 EGL stone with your carat weight. The average is around 5,300. Throw in another 3k for the setting (and I''m being generous as we don''t have any info on the size of the sidestones or whether or not it''s gold/platinum). So total is 8,300.
Now, if you want to sell, you''ll get less than half. Think around 4k and that''s a really generous number.

I have no idea. The only rings I was able to find with bags had 4 stones for a total of .50-55. The price for those in platinum were between 1,600 and 2,400.
